In the past 12 years we had numerous scientific collaborations with many biotec companies and “BIG PHARMA” companies like Abbott/AbbVie, Boehringer Ingelheim, Roche, Sanofi, Merck, Fresenius, Bayer, LTS, Cytos, Medigene, Switch Biotec, Acino, AMsilk, Suppremol, Nanotemper, Coriolis Pharma.
Of course, our cooperations start next door at the faculty for Chemistry and Pharmacy at Großhadern and spreads to many other departments of the LMU, like the veterinary faculty.
Outside the LMU München, we have local cooperations to the Technical University of Munich (Klinikum rechts der Isar, Freising/ Weihenstephan), University of Bayreuth, Helmholtz Center Neuherberg.
We have personal relations to practically all Pharmacy departments at the German, Austrian and Swiss universities, the MPI at Golm/Potsdam and other research institutions.
Our international partners include the University of Lille, University of Colorado at Denver,University of Tromsø, University of Otago, Dunedin/New Zeeland, University of Copenhagen, University of Leiden, University of Colorado at Boulder, University of Connecticut, University of Kansas, University of Rome, University of Vienna, University of Ghent, University of Fribourg and others.
We have delegated any type of contract research out to our spin off company Coriolis Pharma GmbH, Martinsried and we do not carry out contract research at the LMU.
The spin-off company is located nearby in the IZB technology park and operated totally independent from the LMU. The company has a complete set of formulation and analytical equipment as well as freeze drying capacities and operates with about 25 employees

Cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry is always very welcome but has to be clearly focused and formally restricted to true scientific collaborations where both partners deliver scientific input and share all the results.
